	Vision A peaceful and ecological life

	Pauline - the fair trade economist - and Roberta - the designer/baker/eco-girl - met at Gaia Education - a course on Ecovillage Design. They became friends and decided to join their goals and abilities to apply principles and ecological solutions in an urban guest house. We consider the house a real work-in-progress and we're eager to get tips from our guests. Here are some of the solutions implemented so far.

	The Casa da Gente is a real home, where people live and work in a pleasant environment. It's an alternative space, with a homy feeling and a delicious place to relax. We are inspired by the principles of fair trade economy, creating close relationship with our customers and suppliers, offering fair price, natural foods, supporting local artisans, reusing and recycling, and building community ties. Contrary to the globalized world that pasteurize and homogenize behaviors, here we appreciate the authenticity, simplicity and natural way of being. We value diversity in all its aspects.
